The problem

The project explores the boundary between applications and networking: how nearby machines find a workspace, join it, and move changes between them.

What I did

  • Local service discovery with session-based workspace access.
  • Clipboard sharing, collaborative text editing and file services.
  • On-demand file access, block-hash checks and base-file validation before accepting edits.
  • Service and integration tests alongside the implementation.

Decisions

  1. Check the base before accepting an edit

A stale base returns a conflict for the caller to handle.

  2. Fetch files on demand

Browse a manifest first, transfer content when needed, validate blocks by hash.

Boundaries

A personal project, built with AI assistance; development-stage software. No claim of conflict-free sync or certified security.
