The problem

Customers buy lab tests and request home visits; staff coordinate them. Kit and wellness orders also had to come together in one data model without losing track of any item.

What I did

  • Service-order and visit-request workflows.
  • Payment reconciliation, reminders and operational status handling.
  • Designed and reviewed resumable, AI-assisted migration tooling for kit and wellness data (some logic written directly); exercised on staging.

Decisions

  1. Give every item its own state

Kit and service items keep distinct progress inside one order.

  2. Separate transforming from verifying

Dry runs first, then batches, then checks on relationships and business state.

  3. Make it resumable

Recorded progress lets an interrupted run continue; a stage counts as complete only after its checks pass.

  4. Handle legacy and partial records explicitly

Conflicts are surfaced, not silently merged.

Boundaries

Selected contributions within a shared product. The consolidation was exercised on staging; no production cutover is claimed.
